Introduction!
As far as a little bit of information about me, I was born
and raised in Leicester which a city in England. I lived there for around 11
years until I moved to Bradenton, Florida in 2007. Although I’m from England,
I’m Indian by culture because my parents were originally from there. I’m
currently a junior at the University of Florida and I’m double majoring in
Criminology/Law and Psychology. When I
moved to Florida, I was able to skip a grade because of my previous education
in England. Within the University of Florida, I was able to find my place by
involvement within student organizations such as the Indian Students
Association, the Freshen Leadership Experience, as well as Student Government
and Senate. I am taking this course because it going toward my major. My career
goals consist of applying to law school later this year and I plan on taking my
LSAT in June of this year. I have yet to decide which type of law I want to go
in. As far as drugs, I know the differences between legal and illegal drugs and
the effects that come along with some of them. I would have to be against the
legalization of drugs because of the negative effect it can have on people and
how quickly it would spread. However, I’m hoping this class will give me a
greater insight so I can be firmer with my opinion. As for experiences with
drugs, I have never tried anything illegally and I only take medicine on
occasions when I’m very sick.
